Turn on location access
If location is off, Idle may not be able to surface nearby meets on Home or in discovery.
- Open the iPhone Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Idle.
- Tap Location.
- Choose While Using the App.
- Turn on Precise Location if it is available.
- Reopen Idle.
Location should stay enabled
After you choose While Using the App, iPhone should keep that permission enabled. You usually only need to change it again if you turn it off later, reinstall Idle, or iOS asks you to confirm permissions again.
Refresh the Home feed
After changing location settings, refresh Home so Idle can check again.
- Open Idle.
- Go to Home.
- Pull down from the top of the feed until the refresh indicator appears.
- Release and wait for Home to finish refreshing.
Other reasons Home may look empty
- No active nearby meetsThere may not be a public meet near you right now.
- Private or group meetsSome meets only show to people in the right group.
- Connection issuesTry switching between Wi-Fi and cellular, then refresh Home again.
- Outdated app versionInstall the latest Idle update from the App Store.
