Community Standards
Keep the meet worth coming back to.
Car communities work when people respect each other, the host, and the place that made room for everyone. These standards explain what Idle expects in the app and around plans shared through it.
The short version
Do not make somebody else clean up your idea of a good time.
A meet can lose its location in a few loud minutes. Treat people well, follow the host's plan, leave public-road competition out of it, and leave the place better than you found it.
People first
Talk to people like they belong there.
- No harassment, threats, hate, stalking, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Do not shame someone for the car they drive, what they know, or whether they came alone.
- Ask before touching a vehicle, opening a door, sitting inside, or using someone as the subject of a close-up photo.
Protect the spot
The venue should want the group back.
- Follow the parking plan, posted hours, capacity limits, and instructions from the host or authorized venue staff.
- No burnouts, revving contests, blocked fire lanes, litter, property damage, or crowding customers out of the businesses that are open.
- Do not advertise a location as approved unless the person with authority over the property actually approved it.
Public roads
The exit is not a starting line.
- Do not use Idle to organize street racing, reckless driving, road takeovers, or pressure to keep up with a faster driver.
- Obey traffic laws and give pedestrians, neighboring homes, businesses, and ordinary drivers room to move.
- If the group is cruising somewhere next, share the destination and regroup points. Nobody should need to run a light to stay with the group.
Honest plans
Post what people can actually rely on.
- Use the correct host, time, location, visibility, and meet details. Update or cancel the plan when something changes.
- Do not create fake meets, fake host credit, fake affiliations, impersonation accounts, or misleading attendance and engagement.
- Make sponsorships, paid promotion, and business relationships clear when they matter to the post.
Privacy and trust
Do not turn access into leverage.
- Do not expose private information, private messages, restricted locations, or group-only plans without permission.
- No scams, spam, malware, stolen content, unauthorized sales, or attempts to bypass blocks and account restrictions.
- A badge, membership, host label, or attendance count is not a guarantee that a person, vehicle, meet, or venue is safe or verified.
Block unwanted contact
Blocking can reduce contact and visibility from an account where Idle supports it.
Report an account or post
Send a report when a user, message, meet, group, or Pulse item needs Idle review.
Report a safety concern
Use the safety reporting guide when the issue involves abusive, unsafe, spammy, or misleading activity.
Get urgent help first
If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Idle support is not an emergency response service.

These standards are a plain-language companion to Idle's Terms of Use. The Terms control if the two ever conflict.
