Sign in with Apple
- Open Idle while signed out.
- Tap Continue with Apple.
- Complete the Apple sign-in prompt.
- A returning account opens its existing Idle profile. A new account continues through normal profile setup.
Sign in with Google
- Open Idle while signed out.
- Tap Continue with Google.
- Complete Google sign-in in the browser window.
- A linked returning account opens its existing Idle profile. A new account continues through normal profile setup.
Already have an Idle account?
Add Google from Settings > Account > Sign-in methods before signing out. This keeps your profile, garage, connections, groups, messages, memberships, and settings together. Do not create a second account to work around a linking problem.
Review or add a sign-in method
- Open Idle while signed in.
- Go to Settings > Account > Sign-in methods.
- Review Apple, Google, and Email and password.
- Tap Add beside an eligible method and complete the steps shown.
- Return to Sign-in methods and confirm the method says Linked.
Add or reset a password
- Add passwordIf you created your account with Apple or Google and see Add password, follow the steps to add email/password access to that same Idle account.
- Reset passwordIf your account already uses email and password, choose Send password reset link and confirm before Idle sends the email.
- Keep your current passwordYour current password stays active unless you open the reset link and finish choosing a new one.
Remove a linked method
You can remove Apple or Google only when another usable sign-in method remains. Idle will not let you remove your final way back into the account.
Troubleshooting
- Refresh neededRefresh Sign-in methods before adding or removing a method.
- UnavailableKeep using a method that is already linked and try again later.
- Apple Private RelayYour Apple sign-in email may look different from your usual email. Keep using the Apple method already connected to your Idle account.
- Another account appearsStop and return to your original sign-in method. Do not continue by creating another Idle account.
- Sign-in canceledReopen Sign-in methods and start again when you are ready.
- Cannot access the accountUse the original sign-in method or email support before changing anything else.
Privacy
Sign-in details are account settings, not public profile information. Idle does not use an Apple or Google email address to combine separate accounts.

Email support@idlemeets.com if a method will not link or the wrong account appears. Include the sign-in method you were using, what appeared on screen, and a screenshot if useful. Never send your password.
